History:
In 1858, at the age of 21, Henry Kordzik emigrated to America to pursue the American dream. Henry fought in the American Civil War and in 1876, he had saved enough money to purchase 480 acres outside of Fredericksburg, TX. Henry and his family farmed, ranched, and harvested timber on this land, and over time, acquired a total of 3,000 acres here in Gillespie County. In 1903, Henry, his son Max , and the rest of the family spent 3 years constructing the stone house found on the Southern edge of the property today. Over time, the family has sold off portions of the ranch until this 734 acres remained, which will now be available to the public for the first time in over 100 years.

Land: 
Gillespie County is known for their incredible scenery and this ranch does it justice. There is a range of topography and ecosystems from the scrub oak trees on the side of the limestone hills to the large Hickory trees found on the NE side of the property. On the South end of teh property, you can find hundred year old Post Oaks and in the middle of the ranch you will find rich soils that are ideal for farming or growing hay. This Ranch has been historically farmed and ranches, but now the owners only use it for recreational purposes. There is an abundance of wildlife that can be found on the property including white-tailed deer, axis deer, turkeys, dove, and more. This property is held in a Conservation Easement through the Hill Country Conservancy. Improvements:

There are three houses on the property, including a 1903 remodeled 2/1, an equipment shed, metal building shop, working pens, hunting camp with power, and more. The roads through the property have been maintained making the property easy to access throughout with a ranger or truck.
